I read a review of a song I did with 8 Ball & MJG called ‘Gorilla Pimpin’ – it let me know 2 things, first of all, the writer had no idea what 8 Ball & MJG sounded like in the 90’s and he also did not know anything about them period. 8 Ball & MJG, they are classic soul music and growing up as their fan, you inspire to make that kind of music cause that is the music of the South. When I do records with people that I admire, I try to make the record as close to the record that inspired me and get it close to their sound. This record is a classic sound of the south and it is classic 8 Ball & MJG. This was a dream record for me to make. If you ever heard “Comin Out Hard” or “On Top of the World”, you surly understand. -KM

El P and Killer Mike's chemistry on this album works very well. Their "Fuck the World, we do what we want attitude" is also a highlight of the album. George Graphy

Two powerhouse MCs trading bars like their lives depend on it. But all the while bringing out the best in each other. Run The Jewels are two beasts at the top of their games, and all we can do is enjoy the ride. 🤘 mistermunn
